To this day, White Day is regarded as one of the most pivotal horror games ever created, which is why we’re so happy to finally bring this classic to console gamers for the first time. However, its propensity for delivering scares became so notorious among online horror and gaming fan groups that it soon spread across the internet and was translated into different languages by fans. First released exclusively in Korea back in 2001, White Day was a first-person survival horror title. Hopefully, older readers who have been following the horror genre for many years should have heard of the game’s legacy, but in case you haven’t, let me offer a brief history lesson. The press release also gave some information about the new content in the remastered version of White Day: A Labyrinth Called School. With difficult puzzles, branching storylines, tense hide-and-seek segments, and love blooming in the (haunted) battlefield, you’ll need to use all your skills to make it out alive. One day, So-Young forgets her diary on a bench outside of the school. The classrooms and hallways hold many secrets and literal ghosts of the past but even more concerning is the killer janitor hunting our heroes. Story: Tomorrow is White Day (think Valentines Day, but it is specifically for boys to give girls candy.) You play as Hee-Min Lee, a high school boy who has a crush on a girl named So-Young Han.
The story concerns a number of students at Yeondoo High School who get stuck within the building during the Valentines-esque celebration of White Day. Some terrible game design choices are very easy to spot and weigh heavily on the enjoyment of the game. The game structure is quite affected by the consequences of aging.

Luckily PS4 and PC owners will be able to tackle this ghost story (after a slight delay) on August 22nd in North America and Europe on August 25th. White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a good remake of a decent survival horror. In 2015 the title was rereleased with better graphics and new content and now that version is finally making it to the West. The game was originally released in South Korea in 2001 and over the years became a lost classic of the genre. PQube sent out a press release and new adventure trailer for their upcoming survival horror remaster, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School.
